Samskip's Italian rail shuttles connect seamlessly
with Samskip's shortsea shipping network in Rotterdam, the rail terminal and
shortsea terminal being located adjacent to each other.
Italy is completely integrated into Samskip's
multimodal service network, which is based on 45ft palletwide containers
complemented by special equipment including reefer, curtain-sided and flatrack
containers. With reliable transit times and environmental benefits, the
multimodal alternative has become a real competitor for the trailer.
With its extensive multimodal service network, Samskip
is able to move containers door-to-door between over 30 countries from Russia,
Scandinavia and Iceland in the north to Spain, Italy, Austria, Hungary, the
Czech Republic and Slovakia in the south and centre of Europe. |
