Samskip announces new senior commercial
management
Jacques Kleinkramer joins Samskip
Samskip is pleased to announce that
Jacques Kleinkramer has joined its Multimodal Container Logistics division as
Chief Commercial Officer Area Sales with effect from 1 March, 2007.
Mr Kleinkramer has extensive experience
in intra-European transport, short sea and multimodal logistics activities both
from general management and sales management perspectives. He has joined
Samskip after five years with the Netherlands-based road transport company Vos
Logistics where he held the positions of Managing Director sector bulk Europe
and latterly Managing Director Marketing & Sales for the group.
Mr Kleinkramer will be jointly
responsible for the Samskip Multimodal Container Logistics sales activities
with Dirk van den Bosch, who is Chief Commercial Officer Key Client Management.
Mr Van den Bosch, who joined Samskip in 2006, brings with him more than 20
years experience in sales management, general management and global key client
management.

With the acquisition of Van Dieren
Maritime, Seawheel and Geest North Sea Line, Samskip has become the operator of
Europe's largest multimodal container logistics system. The Samskip system is
able to move containers door-to-door between over 30 countries from Russia,
Scandinavia and Iceland in the north to Spain, Italy, Austria, Hungary, the
Czech Republic and Slovakia in the south and centre of Europe.
Samskip offers a wide range of routeing options,
utilising road, rail, sea and inland waterways as appropriate to provide the
best combination of rate and transit time to suit individual customers'
requirements and preferences. It has at its disposal a large number of
containers, ranging from 20ft to 45ft pallet-wide high cube containers
including reefers, curtain-siders and flat-racks.
