Polski Rejestr Statków

Polski Rejestr Statków (PRS), acting since 1936, is an independent classification society providing services for the international market. The Society acts for the benefit of the community, establishes technical requirements, performs surveys and issues appropriate certificates.

The society operates according to a certified quality system ISO 9001, AQAP-110 and complies with IMO resolutions A.739 and A.789.

PRS assists state administrations and other clients in ensuring the safety of people, floating objects, land undertakings, cargoes carried and the natural environment. As a recognised organisation, PRS carries out classification surveys and provides statutory services on behalf of more than 25 flag administrations. The Suez Canal and the Panama Canal Authorities have authorised PRS to carry out tonnage measurement of ships and to issue the relevant certificates and documents.

PRS also certifies quality management systems, such as ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001, as well as system conformity with occupational safety standards PN-N-18001 and HACCAP.
